DIY Inductors

There is talk online about diy air-gap coils, but that is limited in usefulness. You can glue iron cores together and wind inductors with magnet wire also. This is less commonly found online. See Practical Electronics August 2025, Page 64. He makes a professional looking coil with only 7 turns, and doesn't worry about spacing necessarily (one of the difficulties with DIY coils).
